Water has been used for exercise and recovery for centuries. But most people who train in a pool are working from instinct, not information. They know water feels different. They know it's easier on the joints. What they often don't know is why — and what that means for how they should be training.
This series is about the science behind aquatic exercise. Not the kind of science that lives in academic journals and never makes it to the pool deck, but the practical kind — the principles that explain what's actually happening when you move in water, and how to use that knowledge to train smarter.
Each issue covers one concept: resistance, the forces at work in water, how load behaves differently below the surface, and how water supports recovery and progressive training. Along the way, I'll share how those principles shaped the design of AquaBLAST — because the product didn't come from a marketing brief. It came from trying to solve a real training problem in a pool.
